Roadmap
=======

This roadmap outlines potential future enhancements for the DailyVerses app.
The initial release already includes verse caching, multi-language UI support,
and widget theme options. The items below represent features that may be
considered for future versions.

Potential future enhancements

- **Offline mode improvements**
  Enhance the existing caching system to allow full offline operation,
  including fallback behaviour when the external API is unavailable.

- **Multiple verse sources**
  Support additional Bible verse providers, with user-selectable sources
  and configurable priority rules.

- **Advanced scheduling**
  Allow users to choose delivery frequency (daily, weekly, random verse)
  or specific times for verse updates.

- **Nextcloud Notifications integration**
  Optionally send a daily verse as a Nextcloud notification.

- **Searchable verse history**
  Store previously retrieved verses locally and provide a searchable
  history page within the app.

- **Admin analytics**
  Provide simple usage statistics for administrators, such as the number
  of active users or most selected languages/versions.

- **Customisable widget layout**
  Allow users to choose between compact, extended, or minimal widget
  layouts.
