Roadmap

This roadmap outlines potential future enhancements for the DailyVerses app. The initial release already includes verse caching, multi-language UI support, and widget theme options. The items below represent features that may be considered for future versions.

Potential future enhancements

• Offline mode improvements Enhance the existing caching system to allow full offline operation, including fallback behaviour when the external API is unavailable.

• Multiple verse sources Support additional Bible verse providers, with user-selectable sources and configurable priority rules.

• Advanced scheduling Allow users to choose delivery frequency (daily, weekly, random verse) or specific times for verse updates.

• Nextcloud Notifications integration Optionally send a daily verse as a Nextcloud notification.

• Searchable verse history Store previously retrieved verses locally and provide a searchable history page within the app.

• Admin analytics Provide simple usage statistics for administrators, such as the number of active users or most selected languages/versions.

• Customisable widget layout Allow users to choose between compact, extended, or minimal widget layouts.
